INDIE ROCK ICONOGRAPHY
CLOTHING:
In most indie rock genre music videos, the clothing worn by the singer or band is usually quite dark. Despite 'indie' being short for individual, they tend to stick to more basic dark clothes and are very rarely seen in branded clothing which can connote that the artist/s are not too much bothered about how they dress or what they wear but primarily with the music they produce for their fans. However, indie rock fans may not necessarily follow the clothing style of the band and may choose their own style incorporating quite colourful clothing, such as checkered shirts and ripped tight blue jeans. CONVENTIONAL PROPS:
In all indie rock genre music videos there are certain conventional props that the audience nearly always sees and has consequently become a major part of this genre, of which are:
-Guitar/s
-Drums
-Microphone (usually seen on a stand however is taken of the stand quite alot)
-Speakers (usually connected to guitars and microphones)

ATTITUDE/ FACIAL EXPRESSIONS:
In an indie rock genre style music video, the bands attiude/ facial expressions are usually seen to be quite calm and chilled out or the opposite end and seen to be either stressed, upset and even angry, however angry expressions are more seen in heavy metal or rock genre videos.
