Contents page analysis

This is the contents page for my first music magazine analysis i did. It is the contents page for KERRANG!'s magazine featuring Ozzy Osbourne.
The house style on the contents page is slightly consistent in terms of colours of writing. The yellow is followed though from the cover lines from the front page and the white from the title of 'KERRANG!' is followed through onto the word 'CONTENTS'.
The page numbers are red which follows on from the background to the title 'KERRANG!'. The slight house style that is repetitive makes the magazine look neat and follows on so therefore you are able to see it is a magazine.

The use of three collums is very usual for a magazine in order to keep it looking neat. It separates all of the writing from each other so that it doesn't come across as being crowded and too much, it keeps the writing in some sort of consistent order.
I like the use of the black box behind each sub title, this catches your eye automatically telling you whats inside the magazine. The writing beneath the itles is not as bold and eye-catching and this is done so that it doesnt look over-crowded and too much for somebody to read.
It is unusual that the brand identity of the magazine is not followed through onto the contents page because usually the brand identity is consistent throughout the magazine however this makes KERRANG!'s magazine different to most magazines, which also reflects its genre of which is rock and we usually associate rock people as different to most people through their dress sense and image.

The images on the contents page are different to the front page. Again 'KERRANG!' is different, alot of music magazines have their main artist shown on the front page and then again on the contents page to show that the magazine is mainly about them. However on this issue Ozzy Osbourne is the main artist being featured on the front page however on the contents page there is not one photo of him.
The other images on the contents page is of Mallory Knox and Chris Motionless. The images are quite large especially the image of Malllory Knox, it takes up the majority of the top of the page.
